[Wojnarowski] ESPN Sources: Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns has suffered a left meniscus injury, but it remains unclear about how much, if any, time he’ll be required to miss. Towns and team are working to get full understanding of degree of injury and whether it demands immediate action.

  1. It would be great if it’s not too severe but I really hope they don’t drain his knee or whatever Rob Williams did to accelerate a comeback. Dude was never the same after that

  2. If it truly is a tear he needs to be out for the season, players that force themselves back from these types of injuries rarely look the same when it’s all said and done.

  3. I just fell on to knees in Walmart and against my own will a primal cry similar to a wolf escaped my lungs

  4. Please please please don’t try to return too early and have it affect the rest of his career.

  5. I wish we had the power to turn off injuries just for one year man. This shit stinks

  6. NBA media will have a field day. TNT must be ecstatic. Sucks being a Minnesota sports fan. Feel awful for Kat

  7. Wow this is awful. This is the first time in a while that Minnesota has looked as good as they have, and this is what happens 🙁

Hopefully he heals up and doesn’t try to rush it

  8. So basically another Embiid situation where nobody knows wtf is going on until it becomes clear surgery is required and the team doesn’t want to say that so they can save face somehow?

  9. This is just Wolves telling Woj to not say it’s torn, it obviously is. While Shams has it from his agent or secret front office staff. Already happened with Embiid, Shams said it was torn then had to “retract” it for a day, then the Sixers said it was torn and he’s out for a month minimum

  10. He’s not coming back and I wouldn’t even want him to try if it’s close to playoff time

  11. Not a doctor by any means, but I think you can walk/continue on with a torn meniscus. Its the twisting of the knee that hurts.

Obviously professional basketball is a completely different story and continuing on would be painful and potentially more damaging long-term.

  12. Oh no, not KAT. As a Timberwolves fan, this is the last thing we needed. Hopefully it’s just a minor injury and he’ll be back on the court ASAP.

  13. Probably the best season ever for the Timberwolves and this shit happens. That is tragic man.

  14. just saw some dude drop to his knees and start howling like a wolf in walmart wtf

  15. They know the season is over for him nobody wants to say it but I will Timberwolves are soon for the season 🗣️.
