It’s important to remember that you should believe everything you read this time of year.
Right now if the person you want isn’t at 3 collect as many assets as you can.
No they absolutely won’t, lol. They are taking whichever top 3 QB is available and there’s absolutely no reason to suspect otherwise
For what its worth, Bedard talked with other analysts about the top 3 QBs and many of them expressed serious concerns about Maye’s footwork, throwing motion, accuracy, and pocket presence. They generally agreed that Daniels is a better player and a safer pick, so long as he can add a little weight and stay healthy.
So what I’m hearing from this is the Pats want Drake Maye

Been getting laughed at for saying Maye isn’t nearly the QB some of you think he is lol. Who knows if the report is true but his film is baddddd (and I used to like him a lot too before I really dove into the tape, so I get it)

Honestly, after reading it… If Daniels is #2, and we do t love Maye, I’d kinda love to see that insane trade back to 6 for NYG to grab Maye, the. 8 for Atlanta to grab Nabers, then back to 9 for Chicago to grab Odunze.
I want Daniels or Maye, but if our staff doesn’t want him… I’ll take a ridiculous amount of 1sts and 2nds if it means we still make a top 15 pick, another at 34, and another in the 2nd.
I’m the off chance that there is any truth to this, it’s a bad leak. That said, a lot of analysts are really down in Maye. I’ve seen him drop to 5th and 6th on the QB rankings. If they are really that down on him, I am OK with them trading down.
No reason to spend #3 and commit to the development of a QB they don’t believe in. I don’t wanna be doing this same thing 3 years from now.
Drake Maye is massively overrated imo. He is Sam Darnold 2.0. That being said if we draft him I never said any of this
