  1. Broncos keep chasing this dream. I hope it works out for him. But I would’ve moved on.

  2. GREAT news. Should be cheap, locker room guy and not just in a ra ra kind of way, Patrick holds dudes accountable.

  3. Very good news, I bet it’s cheap and Timmy P just seems like such a good locker room presence. Even with the injury, I feel he’d be good for a rookie QB if that’s the route the broncos go

  4. Basically his options where one year deal with Denver or one year deal with other team. Either way he was in a “prove it” deal situation.

  5. Good, seems like a low risk high reward option. If he’s healthy/good then he helps out our rookie QB a lot. If he’s not, oh well it’s not a ton of cap space.

  6. If he can be as good as he was 3 years ago and not get another unfortunate injury then it’ll be good. Well, depending on if we have a decent QB this year or not.

  7. I assume he will either be very cheap or it’s an incentive heavy deal. He’s the most Sean Payton type receiver between him/Sutton/Jeudy so probably worth it just for a vet and hope he stays healthy.

I have a feeling it’s going to be a Johnson, Mims, Patrick, Humphrey and rookie WR room.

  8. Very surprising to me, but I’m down to see if he can still ball if he’s cheap.

  9. Hell yeah! I didn’t expect to be able to keep him, but it’s awesome that we figured it out

  10. Love it. I had a feeling he would be back because he’s the exact type of WR Payton loves. Unselfish, good leader, more than willing to run block, and reliable hands. Assuming he can stay healthy (big assumption), we’ve got a perfectly decent WR corps for a rookie QB to work with.

  11. I am stoked, I was a big Timmy p fan. I was gutted about his injuries the past couple years. Here’s to staying healthy this year!

  12. I’ll take it. TP is such a cool guy and nice story, I think he deserves one more shot. Given we’re a tanking team on a budget, I don’t see the harm at all. Worst case scenario is he’s completely washed but provides good vibes and a veteran presence to what’s likely gonna be a young receiver group

  13. Honestly pretty surprising. I hate being that guy because Tim Patrick seems like a great person, but we should not be sinking more money into someone who can’t stay healthy. He’s old, hasn’t played in 2 years, and has been an anchor on our cap.

I’ll wait to see the numbers but I’d rather focus more target share opportunities to Mims since he’s in our future plans.

This move makes more sense if they’re going to offload/trade Sutton and Jeudy this offseason

  14. Anytime you can hold onto an aging WR coming off two season ending injuries you have to do it

  15. While it would be nice to see a Tim Patrick comeback story this doesn’t make a ton of sense. Hopefully it’s a one-year ultra incentive-laden deal because otherwise that’s high-risk, low reward
