  1. Fuck man. I know he didn’t get a lot of playtime but I still liked what he brought when he did play. Fuck, I was so pumped when we got him too 🙁 I saw his playoffs with Edmonton and I thought we got a helluva player.

  2. getting a 7th dman in return in my eyes means holl is next to go

Edit: They sent Radim Simek down right away, could this be edvinsson getting called up?

  3. I think this move is more for Berggren and shedding Kostins salary. Simek should be an AHL guy.

  4. Klim was a stud in the playoffs last year for Edmonton. Was looking forward to seeing that version of him when we get in.

  5. Getting minor assets in exchange for a salary dump seems okay. It’s too bad Kostin didn’t work out, but I guess best to get even minor assets for him than just having him sit.

  6. According to CapFriendly, Kostin was a $2M cap hit and now Simek is listed as a $1.1M buried penalty, so the move saves 900k. Still over $3M in space.

  7. Count me as one of those who thought Kostin would make an impact. Guess not. Might as well move the $ and call up Burgers

  8. Loved Klim but I get the sense that Stevie started to feel he’s wasting offensive prowess on not having Berggren in the lineup so he moves one of our lesser wingers. Would’ve liked a better return obviously but at least we got something whilst also opening up room for our best offensive prospect at the moment.

  9. That whole thing to get Kostin and buy out Yamamoto seems really weird now. But hey no harm, no foul, the world keeps spinning

  10. Meh, I never really saw the attraction for him, but if it gets one of our AHL studs up, I’m for it.

  11. A 7th and the Czech Brian Lashoff for clearing up the cap isn’t terrible. Not an exciting move but a necessary one.

  12. If our deadline acquisition is a Patrick Kane extension then I’m alright with this.

  13. I liked Klim in theory but he barely played and got hurt like 7 times in 3 months when he did. He’s not an important or impactful player so not really worried about trading him.
