Even if the guy never gets an appearance in regular season play with a Jays jersey, we’re now going to see ‘Votto’ on the back of a few fan jerseys this summer.
Joseph, I love you.
Jays should give him a minor league contract. Good for depth and merch sales.
I love this. The tf not? He either earns his way on the team and contributes or he doesn’t but we still get to see Votto in a BJs jersey.
*tries to find a way to shoehorn both Votto and Vogelbach on the major league roster, all common sense and roster construction logic be damned*
This feels Lindrosish.
Let’s go Votto!
Good luck Votto!
Why do ppl like this guy
Hope the reds can meet them in the WS. Joey needs his proper goodbye at GABP. Take care of him.
Kinda hate that this is the highlight of our offseason but this makes me so happy
We’ve had Votto here until this year and he’s a great player who gets on base. One thing I’ve observed though is he tends to get bored in the mid summer as the season is too long. Perhaps this is the spark he’s needed
Fuck it! Put him in CF!
No pic of him in jays pajamas as a kid?
Make him a player coach
This is fun, I like this.
ok baseball gods… so mote it be!
City Connect jerseys are now just Joey Votto in a Speedo
I am excited as well Joey 🤩
It’s giving how do we put asses in the seats with a mid team
My heart says yes, my brain says no and my wallet says let’s go.
Can we have him in clubhouse even if he doesn’t make the final team?
I’m not sure that this is really going to work out for either party. But it’s a zero risk situation for both and actually a really good PR move by the Blue Jays. It would be great to see Joey finish out his career here in Toronto and have a good season while doing it.
