Watching PL this year really reminds me of Trea Turner’s first season in Philly (last year).
For the unfamiliar, Trea Turner was an MVP-level shortstop that had a huge slump to start his first year after signing a huge contract with Philly. Philly fans can be brutal.

They ended up in game 7 of NLCS (similar to the ECF).
I think positivity can have a huge effect on some players and we can all try to make PL more comfortable.

Everyone ragging on him is making it tougher for him than it should be
I’d be down for this. Especially with how his play has been the last month or so. He’s played really solid hockey
First, he wasn’t scoring and people were on his case. During the losing streak, PLD was scoring and people were still blaming him. I’m convinced most fans don’t really know anything about hockey, probably cuz they’ve never actually played the game.
I’ve been critical of his game, but I think he’s been one of our best players since the All-Star break.

I agree with this. People are being awful towards him. Like he wasn’t playing amazing earlier in the season but he’s been awesome lately. I understand we gave up alot for him but he is still pretty young and I don’t think PL has hit his full potential. I’m hopeful and excited for PL’s potential and future with LA
People at the games don’t despise him like they do on the internet. Kings fans don’t boo their own
Fans wanting him to fail to confirm their hot takes is shitty. Of course he hasn’t lived up to the pieces given up or the contract but the shitty fans did this to Frolov & Toffoli at the end of their time with the Kings. I get frustrated like everyone else but, he definitely does better when he feels like he is part of the team and the fans support him.
Man I’ve been his cheerleader since day one. Now, we are witnessing why the trade was made. Yeah, we gave up a lot but my feeling all along was that he was going to take over Kopi roll when he retires. If, he keeps this level of play and beyond he’ll be our top 1C.
