  1. I didn’t realize this injury was that bad. I know we are a low seed in the East playoff picture but the front office must not see any way for us getting to round 2 and are just passing it on until next season

  2. As a PT, important that he gets this addressed to prevent further risk of recurrent dislocations and further injury.

It sucks now but it’s the right move. He will be able to have his summer still to grow and get better rather than play compromised and with a longer recovery.

Going to have to be smart about splitting Ty and Pascal minutes to make up for loss in production.

  3. His development as the 2 guard this season was so essential. This just fucks it all up.

  4. My guess is this happened or was at least exacerbated when Benn ran into PJ Washington around half court going for a loose ball in our last game against Dallas. I remember it happening and thinking it must have hurt.

Just had shoulder surgery myself in December. Fuck injuries. Hope you get better soon Math

  5. Bummer in the short term. Hope Ben makes a solid recovery and is back healthy and strong when the season starts. Proud of all the work Ben put in this season.

  6. wish for a speedy recovery!

Bennedict is a big part of the core and future here so he needs to do what’s best for him for his longevity and this sucks but it is what it is. he’ll be back better than ever though

Ben Sheppard has a good opportunity to grow from more minutes now and this team can still make the playoffs where we’ll be tested and only get better from the experience.

lowkey hope Toppin starts at the 3 with Nesmith at the 2 and TJM-Nembhard-Sheppard-Walker-Stix is the bench unit. love the length and shooting of this rotation and Siakam/Nesmith can guard the best 3’s in the league while we hide Toppin/Haliburton on D

  7. It’s a bummer, but he’ll recover, be back and better next year, and we can give his minutes to jarace. Sucks.

  8. Being a fan of this team for 30+ years is just pain man. Constant hope and coping and bargaining.

  9. Not the year for Indy and shoulders. Absolute bummer, he was hitting the 3 better than he had all year.

  10. My wife just looked me at me and asked if I was going to cry.

I had to take a minute, look back at her, and say…“you know what, maybe.”

  11. Didn’t he have issues for awhile with his shoulder? I know people said he pushes himself hard and played through pain

  12. Obviously this is bad news but let’s be real guys. This ain’t our year. Next year tho…watch out!

  13. As a veteran of torn labrums and the ensuing surgery, this really bums me out. Benn will bounce back though.

Let’s hope Shepp is up to the task. I, for one, believe he is.
