Turns out 5 defense doesn’t work out well and I’m glad we didn’t trade seeler considering we are still trying to make playoffs.
I, for one, am feelin’ pretty good.
Every team gets a game like this every once in a while. Just be happy that it was only one total blowout this season instead of a half dozen.
Look, half of the D literally wasn’t there, the F metaphorically also wasn’t, and the refereeing was at a blind baboon standard, so kill this one dead, bury it and move on.
But in terms of moving on: think I’m taking a deep breath and looking at the rest of the season as a big whatever. We were never supposed to make the playoffs. Had we not sold Walker we’d be screaming about it not being a rebuild. We are better than whatever this was – but I’m also totally ready to be faced with the fact that our best isn’t going to be good enough at this time of the season against contenders, and that’s fine! It shouldn’t be – we don’t have the talent to be there yet!
These boys outdid themselves and took us on a great ride. Time to stick with them now that we can see them running up against a wall. Over to the draft and summer sales, with every win between then being a nice surprise.
Very tough schedule down the stretch here. I’d like to see the top 6 step up a bit more, seems like the bottom 6 has been the only lines creating offense at times. On the positive, Poehling and Hathaway have been having a great stretch of games. Poehling is really a sneaky skilled player.
I sorta had a date last night and missed the game. So when I popped online at the end of the night to check the story of the game, I felt like Donald Glover in *Community* when he walks into the apartment on fire with everyone screaming while he’s holding pizzas.
Fuckin’ love Torts. I’ve saluted my computer screen enough while watching his clip that my arm’s sore.
Torts is the best head coach in Philly right now, it’s not even close.
