I was watching on the high seas and one pass after they pulled Flower, my stream froze! I quickly found another and it was about 30 s behind so I got to see Flower get pulled again and then that happened.
I was screaming at the TV…. thought is was crazy. And then to hear if you pull the goalie and lose in OT, you forfeit the OT point.
But, the hockey Gods smiled on us!
Straight gambling. Incredible.
It’s even more crazy than you think, if you give up an empty net ot goal you don’t get any points
I hope the wild make the playoffs by 1 point now.

Never seen a NHL team do that. I’ve seen it in the KHL, but in the KHL if the team with the empty net gets scored on they don’t forfeit the otl point. So awesome to see it where it’s got a much bigger risk.
I’ll laugh if this was Darby’s idea first.
I couldn’t have been the only one with my head in my hands expecting the L after this…needless to say I am quite happy to be proven wrong.
