If I am right, then Baker Mayfield, for now will be the 16th highest paid QB next season with a chance to be 17th if Cousins gets a better deal than him

If Baker continues playing like he did last season, and we have him at the 17th highest paid QB in the league when his performance was probably top 10, we will be in great shape
It’s the perfect deal for both teams. We get a starting QB who has won playoff games (suck on that Kirk Cousins) and Baker gets his payday setup for life.
I was getting real worried we were approaching 40 mill territory come Sunday morning with the talks of “testing” free agency but I knew Baker wouldn’t be some POS who chases the money.
He wants to win and we have a legit shot at contending in the NFC if Licht can get the rest of the gang back and some solid Draft picks.

Mahomes is going to be the new Brady of contracts. Taking team friendly deals so he can try to stack championships. Just will go to see how long Andy Reid sticks around
