  1. This, for me is the big one with Mayfield.

If Mayfield was bad or meh in the post-season there wouldn’t be much excitement to be had. Instead his post-season stats are straight up excellent (even outside of this cherry-picked stat) and he’s been in both games he’s lost. And the game’s he’s lost to were the 2020 Chiefs (Yes, that was still a stacked team despite losing Mahomes early) and the 2023 Lions.

So, despite popular opinion I do very much think we have a shot. He plays some of his best in post-season and that’s not a common quality.

Hope is that the continuity and environment he can now enjoy will lead him to be less erratic in the regular season and thus regular playoffs. It’s going to be harder next year with the schedule and Kirk in our division, but we definitely have a shot.

If he stagnates or gets worse we have an easy out, if it develops like it potentially could we may have a franchise QB in our hands.

  2. League is paying hundred of millions to QB’s that have had way more stability and less playoffs wins.

  3. How is it Brady is the one who looks geeked out on drugs when one of the other is Farve?!

  4. It was the Green Bay game where I was finally convinced he’s our guy. Only QB ever in the history of Lambeau field to throw a perfect passer rating (opposing team).

We got lucky we got him for so cheap as Atlanta is overpaying for one of the most overrated QBs of all time.
