  1. At this point, I’m 90% sure Ridley is coming back. There have been so many reports of Ridley potentially staying in Jax.

  2. Jacksonville took a chance on him last year and I bet deep down he probably feels like he owes the team for taking a chance on him in bringing him back last year. Not too mention we are a better team than NE.

  3. Remember when every single player in the NFL was either avoiding Jacksonville like the plague or charging us an outrageous premium to play for us? And now the top WR in free agency is possibly taking a hometown discount over getting the absolute *bag* from New England?

Man, times fucking change in the NFL, don’t they?

  4. Can someone explain the pick we’re sending to the falcons? If we resign Ridley, is it guaranteed to be a 2nd rounder, or does it depend on timing?

  5. I can see NE pivoting towards Tee Higgins now. Ridley being back, especially at a reasonable #, would be good for stability with the #1 WR spot, further offensive continuity with Trev, and allows the team to pivot from Zay Jones with the addition of Gabe Davis.

With Ridley back, means a CB could be had at #17, especially Mitchell.

  6. If he re-signs, I think they have had this planned out for a while. They’ve probably been negotiating, and reached a deal, but don’t want to publicize it until the new league year later this week, so that the 2nd round pick is retained. If that’s the case, this may be the most stacked WR room we’ve seen in years.

  7. If we can keep Ridley despite signing all of those other guys I would consider this a very solid free agency for us! Gabe Davis at X, Ridley at Z, and Kirk in the slot 😮‍💨

  8. Guarantee Ridley wants to sign with Jax, but his agent is pushing him to accept the Patriots offer because it is a few million more and the agent will get paid more.

  9. If we keep him, then the Gabe Davis signing goes from a D to a B+ for me. He’s a very solid 3rd or 4th option, but we couldn’t have him coming in as a 2nd option.

Sheesh if we get Ridley back and get some help at guard in the draft, this offense can really take a step to the next level next year.

  10. Ridley taking a discount to chase a ring with us would be sweet.

Hopefully they’d find a way to take care of him later.

  11. I really want Ridley to stay. I know he had too many near misses but he still produced and I really think things will come together for him in his second year here.

  12. Makes sense. He gets to stay in his home state of Florida, won’t have to move again and learn a new offense, and their income tax is 5 percent while ours is 0. Even if they pay him a few more mil annually maybe he thinks it isn’t worth all the other shit. Also we have a QB and they currently don’t.

  13. Love to have him back, but how is this not just his agent bleeding as much money as possible out of New England

  14. I saw the video earlier saying Gabe Davis would take the outside routes which Ridley was forced into last year so he could really go off in a route tree he does better in.

  15. If he doesn’t sign by EOD with the Patriots, I’m 100% in belief he’s stalling to keep that 2nd round pick and is staying.
