This has been the expectation, we just didn’t know “when”. The designation of “when” the release becomes active will make a difference in the money, but I’d expect this to be “immediate” instead of post 6/1.

Let’s hope he goes to Vikings to back up Darnold. Need to get in front of them to draft a QB. They don’t have a third rounder and the broncos don’t have a second rounder.

He has an $11.25M roster bonus due on March 18th so I’m guessing that’s why they would cut him now instead of post June 1st?
I don’t know how a team could watch his tape from last year and think anything more than a 3rd string QB at this point. He looked scared in the pocket, doesn’t take shots downfield and is horrible at seeing the field. I realize that could somewhat have been McDaniels fault, but he was supposed to be comfortable with the dudes system and he was a catastrophe in it. He seriously needs to consider just walking away from the game at this point.

What a waste of time! The only positive thing Jimmy did was get rid of JMD for LVR. I know I’m being harsh, but there was so much writing on the wall with this guy. I will never get all those “I see 10 wins” post in the beginning of last season. How can you legitimately ignore all the red flags and look at his film and be like “yeah, I feel Jimmy will play better in Vegas with a harder scheme and a lesser coach.” 😂 I’ll never get it!
Came here, got McDaniels fired, and immediately fucked off. I tend to hate Patriots alumni but I think I will make an exception for raider legend Jimmy Garappolo.
