  1. He says 40% of deep throws to Mooney are inaccurate and then says Cousins is the most accurate on deep throws. But he doesn’t tell us what percentage of Cousins deep throws are inaccurate or by what measure? Is 40% bad or average or top 5? Is Cousins below 40% for all of his WR targets or just some of them?

Sharp is a clickbait machine so him leaving that info out seems intentional.

  2. In other words, 60% of his deep targets have been accurate, yet he’s only caught 23% of them.

60% accuracy on deep balls isn’t bad. Mooneys strong suit just definitely isn’t finishing

  3. Mooney had a great deep ball passer last year, at least according to PFF, FWIW.

When it comes to throwing the deep ball, Justin Fields was one of the best in 2023. Fields owned a 96.7 PFF passing grade on throws greater than 20 yards. According to PFF, 14.1 percent of Fields’ pass attempts in 2023 were deep ball attempts. Fields completed 44.2 percent of his deep ball attempts last season.
