Why is this sub so obsessed with our punter supposedly being bad. I truly don’t understand it. You guys are really watching saints games and saying “well if our punter was better we’d had won”?
Hedley is doing exactly what they said he’d be doing. Pinning people in the 20. 31 punts in the 20. Good for top 5 in the NFL. He has a higher percentage of punts in the 20 than anyone else in the top 5, and he’s only got 4 touchbacks on the year. And on top of that his weird punting style has allowed for the fewest yards per punt return in the NFL. Guess who has the most punt return yards against in the NFL. Thomas Morstead.
I’m not trying to say this guy is the best punter in the nfl or something but he’s fine. Darren Rizzi likes him clearly and has a plan for how to use his unique punting style and it’s been working. And not for nothing, we have much bigger issues to worry about.
