3. The contract details would be the deciding factor, but giving up a all time fan favorite aging Safety to inevitably sign another aging Safety seems a bit off

4. The age fit is weird, but he’s not bad for a bridge player. He’s a great leader/mentor, and if we want to draft a young guy in the next year or two they could eventually take over.

   I’d prefer Kam Curl for his age but Simmons is a great player.

5. He’s a good player, but I’d rather spend the money at corner and sign a budget safety.

6. I just don’t see the vision in this. Everyone we signed aside from a 28 year old CB is 26 or younger, partly I thought because those guys would be in their prime by the time we would build a competitor(theoretically). Targeting CJ is consistent with that. Pivoting to a 30 year old S who just got cut is not.(unless he’s cheap)

8. The dolphins signed Poyer for 1 year 2 million. Both guys over 30. Arguably Simmons is way better but damn I hope Ran cooks something up good on this one.
