1. This is a decent haul.

2. So right now we have their 5,7, and 8 prospects coming our way. And an average bullpen arm

3. Deal is slowly getting better, but the reports said the return was “steep” with multiple notable prospects. Won’t really reach that kind of hype without another top 5 prospect in the Padres system

7. Chris Getz it done

8. We can now have a AAA outfield of Colas, Cespedes, and Zavala. Our recent success on the Latin American “superstars“ that can’t miss is crap.

9. I’m not sure how everyone is gonna feel about this trade but I really like Thorpe and Zavala. So far for me Getz seems to like fielders who have OBP skills and can play defense. Zavala most definitely shows that in his minor league career so far.

   And Thorpe has both elite K and bb/9 numbers. Another trait that our old leadership seemed to actively not try to acquire(they only liked big arms who couldn’t throw a strike)

   I’m hoping that there is just a little more to this but I do really like those two back and hope Getz continues to build with players with these skills because I think these kind of players make more well rounder major leaguers

11. Seen these guys play in high a at the tin caps and will say they are pretty good defensively and can hustle

12. I’m okay with this return. Still gotta develop them for this to make sense though.
