  1. This is the same guy who broke the Calvin Ridley news (and I believe Lavonte as well?).

Laughing at the price, but guess we’ll see how Dev does this season.

  2. I like it. He can still be useful and is only 26. Hopefully he really locks in this year.

  3. I wonder if they could use him in an OLB/EDGE type of situation, similar to a Micah Parsons type of role. Maybe he’s too small for that? Would have difficulty disengaging from being blocked by massive OTs?

Otherwise, I hope this is a depth signing as Britt’s backup.

  4. Also hope he takes the starter position back by working on his coverage skills because Britt is too fuckin slow in pass coverage for my liking.

  5. Not crazy with how the guy was dogging it on a lot of plays. With guys like Britt, diaby and others I’m not sure this is the smartest move.

  6. Maybe this will humble him and we will see 2020 Devin White. Either way I’m pretty shocked by this. I thought he had burnt the bridge in Tampa and some bad team would pay him at least 10 per year.

  7. Very surprised he would even be interested in returning. Must really be no other deals on the table. He’s a great blitzer and can run down outside runs with the best of them, but the mental game needs massive work.

  8. So the Bucs are paying $7M for a few splash plays and the guarantee of uncovered TEs and RBs

  9. I think this is a fascinating signing. It definitely goes against the narrative that Devin quit on the team or burned bridges… Maybe a deal like this reignites a fire. its low risk, the money is in line with mid tier vet pay for the less critical positions and its only a year.

  10. Well this is a surprise. I hope for him and for us that he understands why he got this instead of the payday he hoped for and wants to address it by getting his shit together instead of mentally checking out.

I would love to see him be the player that he really wants to be.

  11. If they use him in a spy role for passing plays against mobile QB’s this is a great opportunity for him to prove himself. He can blow up runs and can rush the open lanes on blitzes.

I think Britt will get the majority of the playing time, especially in obvious passing situations, but there is something special when both LVD and White are stalking the line and I can’t wait to see it again next season.

  12. Idk if I buy this. All of the team reporters or most of them at least (Ira,pewter report, stroud) have all said he won’t be back pretty much since like 2 months before the season ended. Don’t think it happens. And 6 mil is way too much I’d be shocked if all of those guys are wrong like that

  13. If legit I like this. Market told him what he’s worth. Either he plays his ass off or career is pretty much over.
