Will be fascinating to see if a section of Seattle fans irrationally think he’s going to be great after he takes a shit tonne of sacks there too.

Ahh yes, the great Geno Smith. Who parlayed one good season into a $100M payday and then proceeded to suck again.
The one move they’ve made so far I don’t like is this Mariota –>Howell stuff. With some decent coaching on mechanics and a decent OL, he could surprise everybody.
Mariota will not be surprising anybody.

Our fanbase is full of these weirdos. They have never gone away, they just evolved from rabidly hating on perenial top-10 QB Kirk, to blindly supporting Smith, Haskins, Heinike, and Howell despite all evidence they were mediocre (at best).
If the new rookie ends up being a bust (always a high likelihood), people will come back with the same argument.
Can’t wait for Howell to become the Seahawks next guy and our 2nd pick to bust
Doing this back-to-back years with Heinicke and Howell was the absolute worst.
Geno was also ass last year I wouldn’t be surprised if Howell beats him out
