Sosa: (Laughs) That’s not the question I anticipated. This isn’t the setting for that discussion. But as I said, I’m willing to move forward and see what happens.

What does he have to lose at this point?
Admitting you took them, admitting it was a mistake and saying you’re regretful (despite the metric fuck ton of cash the enhanced performance of his play enabled him to earn), showing some remorse – all of that – would be a lot better than simply denying or being cagey about everything over and over.
Just admit it. Even if he feels that lots of other players didn’t get caught and he did – and even if it’s a little unfair in that regard – just admit it. Be free of the lies.
Does anyone really care at this point? Half the league was on steroids and it’s clear those that are particularly tainted by allegations aren’t getting into the Hall by the regular voting (for now). If Sammy Sosa walked into my office I’d just love to shoot the shit with him on playing baseball. The HR race between him and McGwire is still emblazoned in my memory as a kid.
