[Couper Moorhead] Miami has been a Top 10 or better (No. 6 this year) defensive rebounding team in four of the past five years and I still see people talking about them as if they can’t rebound.

  1. Heat fans are size queens and can’t stand that we don’t have a 7 footer. Rebounding has never been our issue lol.

  2. Yup. It’s the quickest way to spot a very casual fan. I get not knowing for a season where your team stands in terms dreb numbers. But like coup said they’ve been good for years. How do heat fans still not know.

Heat fans take a single game sample size where they might be getting clobbered on Orebs, and then apply it for an entire season.

  3. Bigger problem is our lack of overall size to defend the rim against larger teams.

  4. when people say size is our problem, it’s not the biggest problem it’s a problem but not for what you think, offense is our problem, we beat the bucks with out size no problem it’s having another creator on the floor, the team only looks good when jimmy is a top 10 scorer

  5. Well the idea is that they have to bust their ass to get them which isnt a great thing for later on in the game. They have to play insanely hard which has to be draining. I dont have stats to back shit up, but whenever Miami needs some crucial defensive stops, it feels like the opposing team can just tip the ball in whenever theres a miss. Thats how it feels to me anyways.
