I keep hearing he’s cooked and washed and whatever. We just need someone better than Burks and I’m sure Campbell is.

Not hitting on Kendricks will hurt us. Correct me if I’m wrong but the Packers linebackers have been atrocious, haven’t they?
We need the veteran presence for these young bucks coming up. I woulda preferred Kendricks, but this is a solid insurance policy for Dre.

Packers fans are telling me that he’s definitely slowed down from his 2021 All-Pro year, but could still be a good piece to have. Might be good enough to hold down the fort until Greenlaw comes back, but his primary usage should be as a rotational depth piece.
I have to see what the contract is, but I’m leaning towards seeing this as a W more than anything else.

im pretty sure he was with kyle in atl so there’s likely somewhat a relationship there. even if he’s not his all pro version they needed a veteran presence next to fred to hold it down till dre is back. plus the other options left at lb in the market was very bare honestly

Stop trying to spin this in a positive light. Kendricks was their top choice and he changed his mind. Now they’re stuck with a guy who couldn’t even start for the Packers awful LB core.
I don’t see much difference between him and Kendricks. He’s definitely less washed than some are leading you to believe.
How about the O-line so Purdy doesn’t have to run for his life on half the pass plays?

What if we went back to playing Under? That would be cool. We could go:
Leonard Floyd is a pass rusher in bass as a standup LB. This allows Gross-Matos to be more of an inside rusher, and it frees up rush options for nickel because of that.
In Nickel, we keep all of the LBs on the field and just drop a DT. This is the Brandon Staley defense.
I don’t think you can really win Super Bowl’s anymore on defense. Rule changes and elite QB play have made it damn near impossible to do dominate great offenses for 60 minutes. Feels like we’ve tried to win 3 SB’s with our defense leading the way and failed in each. A great offense with a well coached defense including a couple of All Pro’s like we have in Bosa and Warner is the new blueprint.
