#NFLVideos: What does addition of Keenan Allen mean for Bears?

What does addition of Keenan Allen mean for Bears?

Come down Peter last night, what was your reaction. Let’s go from the bears side of things. First shout out to Jay Glazer. The OG big news break overnight still play in this game. And he drops that one. What’s up Jay. Uh glazed with the news. It’s interesting because we knew that

LA was trying to unload some guys. If they weren’t willing to restructure their contracts. We’ve seen some players restructure the contracts. Keenan Allen apparently not looking to. And now he goes to Chicago thought that full screen was good which showed all the different additions this year. But let me just take this

Picture here. Say say it’s Caleb Williams or Justin Fields at quarterback. This is the skill positions. Wide receiver DJ Moore on one side, Keenan Allen on the other DeAndre Swift behind you two tight ends and Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett. And they’ve got two really good young offensive tackles in

Darnell Wright and Braxton Jones. And oh by the way they have the first overall pick. And the ninth overall pick. So just from an offensive side of the ball standpoint, whether it’s Caleb or Fields and I still think it will be Caleb, you then also add another I don’t know,

Another offensive tackle at the nine pick. You got another wide receiver at the nine pick. This offense could actually do something this year. So I’m very excited to see what they do during the draft. Of course that will be the finishing pieces. But here comes Shane Waldron. There wasn’t a parade down.

Yeah, down the city when he was hired. And it was kind of like, okay from the McVay tree. But he was also with Seattle. Well Shane Waldron’s got a lot to play with right now and I’m excited to see what they do. Look NFC North is loaded. We know what the Packers are

Bringing to the table. And we know what the Lions are bringing to the table. And the Vikings are always going to be competitive. But the bears made a move and brought in a veteran wide receiver. I really like it Jay. You have to and like you said, for Shane Waldron, coming

In as an offensive coordinator, now you have these weapons to play with at Swift and now you have Keenan Allen. And as a former DB in the league, Keenan Allen is an absolute third down ball magnet. So for a young quarterback, whether that is fields whether that’s Caleb Williams you now have security.

And knowing wherever Keenan Allen is, especially on money downs, I can find a way to get him the ball for Ryan polls. You look at it, they had the first overall pick last year. They trade that. And obviously Carolina went and got Bryce Young from that. You’re talking about Darnell right. They draft

Tyree Stevenson. They draft two guys that played a ton of minutes for them out there last year and contributed to the team. And then also you bring in D.J. Moore. And to your point now you have the first overall pick, which possibly could be Caleb Williams. So you talk

About improving your roster with a trade, drafting the right players and still having more to come is such a big move. He made. And to get a vet you think about it for Keenan Allen. He’s had a ton of success for the Chargers. He’s also played in multiple systems. He’s had

Multiple quarterbacks. So you bring that type of presence in an organization into an offense. When he speaks in that room, everybody else is going to shut up and listen because what he has accomplished on the football field, that’s a huge gift for them. And he can still play and

Balled out last year. I agree with you 100. Um as a as a DB in this league, Keenan Allen is definitely one of those guys who you have to keep your eye on, especially on third down and in the red zone. He’s a guy that can manipulate coverages, create

Those mismatches. And I think this was a huge pickup for the Chicago Bears. And what this is telling me is that they have found their quarterback in the draft. I do believe that they are going to go out and get Caleb Williams as well. Um, I don’t know what they’re going to

End up getting for Justin Fields, but they have enough equity right now in the draft to pretty much get whatever they want. So no, I love the move. I’m excited to see what Keenan is going to do. This year. And to your point again, Keenan has played with multiple quarterbacks with multiple

Different with different talents on different in different stages of his career. So this can be great for the Chicago Bears and helping their young quarterback grow. Man, what a mind mess this must be for Justin Fields. I’m sorry I feel badly for him at this point because Ryan polls

With every good intention. Those words that he had during the combine carried, which was, you know, really to do right by Justin Fields. We would move him before for this new league year hit and that didn’t transpire. So now we’re kicking around this idea of, are you really going to

Have Caleb Williams and Justin Fields in OTAs at training camp? I guess that’s what we’re looking at. But if you’re Justin Fields, you’re sitting there and you’re like, let me get let me get this straight. You’re going to bring all these guys in and you’re going to build this

Offense and this cake looks so delicious for this number one overall quarterback that you’re going to get. And I am going to sit here and just be on the trading block until someone so desperately needs me that you get more trade value for me, or you just don’t want this to be a

Chemistry issue and you have to move me or let me go. What’s crazy to me is we watch Desmond Ridder, Sam Howell both get traded and I’m not talking value and different things. You can nitpick that is it to the point where Chicago Ryan poles are they you wonder. Are they asking

Too much? Are they actively trying to trade Justin Fields? I think those are the question marks, because for a lot of people, if you’re a fan just of the NFL in general, and you see some of these quarterbacks being moved and all right, Desmond Ridder goes to Arizona. That’s

Not like there’s a team that they got there. Kyler Murray’s there. So he’s obviously going to go be the backup. Sam Sheldon goes to Seattle and you got to assume he’s going to compete in some form or fashion with Geno Smith. So you look at that and you’re like obviously Arizona

With Kyler Murray giving him that contract. You’re not going to want a Justin Fields. But for Seattle, if you’re willing to make a trade and bring in Sam Howell to possibly compete with Geno, why not give Justin Fields a chance in that to go out there

And just see what he can do? You start to wonder, as teams and GMs are across the league, are they looking at Justin Fields and just saying, you know what, we’re not convinced that he can be our franchise guy? Or is it a matter of the Chicago Bears?

Maybe just want too much in exchange for Justin Fields? Yeah, it’s interesting because I keep on bringing up the medicals for Caleb Williams until they get the medicals with Caleb Williams. I don’t think it’s a good point. Justin Fields, because he didn’t do the medical exam. He was one of the first

Players in the history of the combine to say, you know what, I’m good. You can’t take a look under the lid. I’m not going to do the medicals here. But when I visit your team for a for a visit or if I do my pro day, maybe I’ll entertain it. The pro

Day is not until March 20th. I don’t know when he’s visiting the bears, so if you’re Ryan Poles, I can’t trade. No, you’re right fields. Until I see that Caleb Williams is 100% healthy. God forbid Caleb Williams comes in, they check something and say, you know what? You actually

Have one of these Jones fractures. You’re right. You diagnose something else. Well, then. No, I can’t go that route. So they’re kind of putting this tough waiting mode and it’s based a lot on them. Keeping the cards close to their vest. And of course they want to do Justin

Fields. Right. But the prudent thing would be not trading him until you

  1. I’m so sick of ESPN, NFL Network, Fox Sports, & etc. disrespecting Justin Fields!!! I don’t Ryan Poles drafting Caleb Williams, I see Da Bears trade 1st pick to Washington and get haul of picks.

  2. All these crazy speculations based on absolutely zero evidence.
Nobody has predicted anything that Poles has done to date. But are all a perfect score after the fact.
What if, just what if, Poles and Fields are on the exact same page?
Poles to Justin- Turn off your social media, get out of town, go on vacation, relax, rejuvenate and stay as far away from any public spotlight as you can while I build a roster and load up the media with so many conflicting potential options it makes them all sound foolish. I’ll text you when it’s safe to return.
Fields back to Poles- Yes boss.

  3. Caleb is trade bait for the haul!!….Let Justin cook!!… with all those new weapons!.. But he's in no position to try and break the bank.. leave some money on the table take this team to a Superbowl..Then get paid!… Cousin's still gettin paid an hasn't won one playoff game!!!… make it make sense😮

  4. Why would the bears having only 4 draft picks go with a young rookie QB in a win now mode… I am shocked these clowns keep saying the bears will trade their current ascending QB to draft a young rookie QB you guys must be on rocks

  5. Concerning Justin Fields, my impression is that currently no team wants to take on the challenge to shape him. Even after 3 seasons he seems to be still a diamond in the rough. He has a lot of talent, especially physically and running. And he can be very entertaining to watch, in the good way, turning broken plays into big plays, like in the 2022 season where he finished #7 overall in rushing yards as QB in front of several star RBs and had even played in only 15 games.
I like Justin Fields and I hope he finds a NFL team that gives him a starter position.

  6. Why can't you guys get off the jockstrap of CW and stop tearing down JF. CW IS NO WAY ready to play in the NFL. He is better off sitting on the bench while getting a pedicure.

  7. The 🤡 media can’t give up on their narrative. As usual, they feel that if they yell it loud enough and enough times, they can make their desires come to fruition. So, with their narrative going up in flames, they’re yelling louder than ever. Soon, we will start to hear the threats of Ryan Pauls should get fired if he doesn’t draft Caleb Williams because Caleb Williams is a generational player.🙄

  8. Common sense at the end there… until you can actually see his medicals AND talk to him extensively and get that 1 on 1 time, there is no chance a smart GM is trading the starting QB away. The number 1 overall pick will always have value and can be traded for a haul. That will never change. So its okay to be patient and prudent. Trust in Poles and the Bears front office… seems weird to finally be able to say that and believe that as a Bears fan.

  9. All these idiots sayings this and that but not saying how the bears potentially don’t want to trade Fields 😂. They examine all scenarios but the one that pro players and the locker room has been saying… they want Fields to be Chicago’s QB1

  10. It was reported already that the Bears havent even shopped Fields…how is this their jobs yet they are still so out of touch with what is happening

  11. You people are morons. Fields is absolutely incapable of reading and beating a good zone defense. He QBR is 34th in the league against zone. You can't have that guy starting.

  12. Keep Justin and take Marvelous Marvin!!!!! With a wide receiver/tight end full of weapons almost anyone could be a star at quarterback and Justin could show the league he can lead this offensive juggernaut to the promised land
