Minor FA Update: Looks like we’re keeping Taylor Heinicke

I assumed the obvious move was to cut him to clear up some cap space but given he’s gotten that bonus now, it seems we’re gonna keep for next season for whatever reason.

this is the 1st thing Terry has done that is not smart he’s not worth 9M you can get backups for less
Probably a good indication that they want to have a backup plan in case Kirk goes down again or isn’t ready week 1.
It is a good move. We need an experienced backup.
After what happened to the Jets this past season, I think securing a good backup QB is definitely an essential when you have an older and injury prone QB
I like it. I assumed we were gonna keep Ridder as QB2, but with him traded I think the right move is to keep Heinicke. Having a quality backup QB can save your ass and I would argue he’s one of if not the best backup QB in the league
