A bit of a speculative piece on the roster going forward, here’s some tidbits:
>Quickley (the pending restricted free agent will be expensive to keep, but I’d bet on it),
>At this point it would be a mistake to let Gary Trent Jr. walk for nothing as a free agent, so barring something crazy happening, I predict he’ll return on a deal not all that different than the one he’s just finishing up: Let’s say three years for $60 million, which keeps him around and keeps him tradeable.
>Garrett Temple’s mentoring skills will age well, and I know he wants to come back, so let’s say yes.
Awkward fit around gtj and dick? Hes a awkward fit around the whole roster…his playstyle only fits with legitimate superstars feeding him like jokic
I know it’s gonna suck to see a trade piece for Siakam walk in free agency, but if that’s the best option then you gotta do it regardless. No point in keeping a bad asset just because of the perceived trade value established prior.
If there’s no real trade for him at the draft and letting him walk lets you sign a free agent (upgrading that GTJ spot let’s say) then I think that makes sense as the best path forward. Otherwise you just end up accepting the team option and keeping him as a lame duck on the roster until next years deadline hoping something materializes

Best front office we have ever had, chip buys them GOAT status, but they have made such easily avoidable mistakes since drafting Scottie.
But I was told BBs value would be either the same or possibly better in the summer 🤔
As for GTJ, 15M max a year, anymore and I’d let him walk, Temples been a great vet/presence for this young team and if he wants to come back I’d do it.
Guess it depends on if we keep our pick or not.
