Sure seems like Blake Snell thought a 2 time Cy winner was going to get a massive payday.
Or did boras tie him up and not allow him to sign those previous offers?
They both horrible misread the market, let’s see what next year brings.
Giants gave up a pick for 1 year of this guy unless he shits the bed, then they are stuck for two.

If Snell has a decent year, he’ll opt out and be in line for at least $120m next year. That’s break even with the $150m Yankees offer that he turned down.
Both Snell and Boras got it wrong. But it’s not like the guy got QO money. He’s guaranteed $60m+ if he wants it.

Scott Boras can’t win, can he? For a long time, he was the most hated agent (except by those who he represented), and maybe the most hated person, in baseball. He was driving prices too high, too fast! The average fan couldn’t afford to buy a ticket, a popcorn, and a beer…because Boras was a greedy little prick. Satan himself could’ve bought a team, relocated it to Mars, and charged a trillion dollars for a restricted view seat…and Boras still would’ve been more hated.
But now that his players aren’t signing record-breaking deals, it’s worth writing about how he “failed?”
Which is it, media? Was Boras too aggressive in his pursuit of money for his players? Or is he a shitty agent who can’t get his players the money they’re worth?
With the way pitchers are getting injured nowadays I would be surprised to see them getting 5 plus year deals for a while. I am super happy Snell is going to my favorite team , but I’d be pissed if I hired the ” top ” agent in baseball and he made me live in San Francisco.
