Breer regarding MHJ: He’s preparing for the NFL season, and doing it at OSU, rather than training to run 40s. He asked the 9 teams he met with in Indy if they needed to see anything at Pro Day. They all said no.

  1. If the Bears take Williams and Washington takes Daniels, we have to go for Harrison Jr, right? I’m torn between Daniels and Harrison Jr.

We haven’t had a great WR that lines up on the outside since Moss. Our best WRs have always lined up in the slot (Welker, Edelman, Meyers and Douglas last year).

  2. Okay, who cares what MHJ does from a pats standpoint? We should not be even remotely considering MHJ

  3. I think that theres very little chance we take MHJ at 3 but it’s good that we’re doing our due diligence

  4. So many people in here are acting like MHJ is the only WR in the draft. Some teams have Nabers 1 or at least 1b. Plenty of elite, HOF talents at WR get taken after the 1st round. Rarely happens with QBs. Take the QB and build out the roster around him.

  5. I say we take the best player fuck position I don’t want another Mac situation cause we reached now. Draft a QB next year if you need too

  6. These MHJ people are never going away, are they?

It could be 15 years from now and the Patriots could win 5 more SBs and people are still going to be complaining “we should have drafted MHJ.”

  7. They’re not drafting him. You people need to get over it. It’s the equivalent of when the Giants drafted Saquon Barkley and the Lions drafting Calvin Johnson.

And there’s also a small consensus that Harrison isn’t even the best WR in the draft.

  8. I get why he didn’t run drills at the combine (more to lose than to gain), but it’s not a confident move.

  9. I don’t hate the bucs and lions model of building a race car and then finding a driver

  10. Draft MHJ. You have a high value asset you can choose to keep or trade for fair market value if you decide you don’t want an elite WR for some reason. Don’t see any downside

  11. I would be happy with MHJ and punting on qb until next year, we already kind of gave up compared to the other east teams

  12. I say take the once in a lifetime talent. We still have Brissett, he has been a starter.

  13. I’m not a scout nor do I pretend to be. If they love and believe in whatever QB winds up at #3, then take him. But as a fanbase we should still be pretty excited whether they go Dainels/Maye or MHJ.

  14. I love the idea of drafting MHJ. Look at San Fran. They built the team, then added the QB. It wasn’t entirely on purpose, they thought Jimmy was the guy. But yeah they have Deebo, Trent Willy, CMC, Kittle, a dope defense, then they insert Purdy. Let’s go MHJ, some linemen, a tight end. Let’s maintain the D and build an offense then add the QB.

  15. There’s plenty of great talent at WR not named MHJ… there’s only 3 real possible franchise QB’s. We also need oline.

QB at 3, LT at 34, WR in the third. Boom all three areas addressed in an order of most to least important to a successful team.
