Dodgers vs. Padres Game Highlights (3/20/24) | MLB Highlights

The 2024 major league baseball season set to get underway. We are in South Korea Seoul to be exact. Of course, four years ago, we were at home watching games being played in this very building, but today it’s the Dodgers and the Padres. Yes, Chan Ho Park still has it

After 17 years and 124 wins in the majors. He brought the cheese to Hasan kim. We’re about set to bring you the 2024 major league baseball season game, the Soul Series as yu Darvish gets set to throw the first pitch of the game here, Mookie bet stands in from the

Right side this year at shortstop and incredible to think that a player who’s won six gold gloves as a right fielder can step into the shortstop position, but if anybody can do it, it’s Mookie Bats. Here’s a 3 to 1 now, wait time is called. No, that’s a pitch clock

Violation on Yu Darvish home plate umpire lance Barksdale sends Mookie Betts down to first base. That’s ball four and here is show Otani for the first time in Los Angeles Dodger uniform had a phenomenal spring 11 bets is going, Otani checks it throw down. Not nearly in time.

Mookie Betts has a stolen base and I believe we are going to see a little bit more of that. They’re going to send Mookie Betts back to first base did Otani foul. That ball umpires interference watch Barksdale and he hits the mask of the home plate umpire

Had no chance to get there rolls one of the shortstop to get the speed. He show a that’s forced out at second base one out and a runner at first Freddie Freeman 211 hits a year ago. Second most in Dodger history. 59 doubles. That was a franchise ball strike

Three freeman gainer at 95 and just like that, Darvish worked around the leadoff walk and they are two down, two down here’s Will smith swinging. This one is driven to left field. That’s where Jerson profile is. He’s under it and he will make the catch to end the inning.

Here’s Tyler Glass now just 30 years old. He has not thrown more than 120 innings in any season, but he signed a five year extension for 136 million with Los Angeles Bogart’s Tatis Kronor is the Padres bat for the first time and that’s a strikeout strikeout. Number one side retired in order

In the bottom of the first inning. We head to the second as loud as you’ll hear the crowd for seven years. A member of the heroes who called this place home and he acknowledged that crowd well done by Hasan kim 2 to 2 end of the bat right field.

Hayward got a really good jump on it and Hasan kim is retired. Shohei is 0 to 1 and the pitch is belted into right field for a base hit a couple of hops out to top jr and shohei has his first hit as a los Angeles Dodger.

A two out single here in the third inning fastball out over the plate. He’s going to be something to watch. Here’s Freddie Freeman off goes Otani and he’s got that thing stolen easily 23 bags last year and Otani has one here. Part of the game plan for the

Dodgers, we saw it early with at bats right there is showing why he is in the two spot and the bases are full of Dodgers and two men out back to back walks issued by Darvish. Here’s Max Munson. There they go, swing and a Miss Jarvis went with some cheese and

A fist pump to leave the mound so far. 29 pitches for Tyler Glass. Now, good size to begin with. 63. Patient hitter has some power. He’s going to really grow into the power a little bit more. Wade moves to second base on the wild pitch. Here’s the next one to be.

This one is driven to straight away center field outman going back, he’s there, Wade will tag from second and he is going to be in there safely. A good piece of hitting by Jackson Merrill. A line shot to center field advances the runner in his first major league at bat 106 miles an

Hour, 105 7 off the bat. Bogart at the plate with the infield in and he turned that around here. He does. He will drive in. The first run of the game is Xander Bogart’s an RB I to center that plates Wade and it’s one. San Diego Oscar struck out

Swinging his first time up. He’s got an 01 count on him. Works out of the stretch with nobody on, he kicks and delivers and Teoscar bounces one slowly down to third. It is charged by Wade fires. It, it gets away. Teoscar around first. He’s on his way to second and

The Dodgers have the tying run in scoring position with nobody out on a throwing error by the third baseman Tyler Wade Teoscar hernandez worked his way over to third base with less than two outs. The Dodgers have a man at third. Jason Heyward. The batter, 12, this one is hit

Well to right field backing up on it is Tatis tagging at third Hernandez. Here’s the throw and Taoka scores, it’s a sacrifice fly for Hayward in a tie game. The Dodgers and Padres all even at one bases loaded. Nobody out. Dodgers won. Padres won. Luisada who again, hit a shot to Mookie Betts.

His first time up, paints it on the ground to Betts. He’ll go to second for one to first. That is a double play. Machado comes in and it’s 21. Padres shoe Otani one for three. Also stolen a base tonight. A little tamper up the first base line.

It’s a foot race and the Padres are going to win it quick as a cat off the mound was Wandy Peralta fielded and got it there a step ahead of Otani Dodgers have the tying run aboard in the eighth. Here’s Teoscar hernandez and this one is going to get down to center feed.

Muncie will go to second and a single for Teoscar hernandez and the L A Dodgers are in business with two men on and nobody out zero for seven with runners who score left nine on base to this point in the game. And now James Outman who reached

Via a base on balls in the six, he’s zero for two missed, badly , bases are loaded. There’s nobody out and the Padres are in a bit of hot water. A marvelous opportunity here that the Dodgers really cannot afford to squander. Now, #### Hernandez up in an enviable spot for any hitter.

Here’s the 0 to 1 pitch swing and a drive to left field in the corner over there to get it as a Zoar Mun, he tags from third and scores and that ties the game on a sacrifice fly by hernandez, sacrifice line drive if you will. Gavin Lux is zero for three

Tonight and here comes the first pitch from Warhol swinging a ground ball right side. It gets past the first baseman into right field. Here comes Taa Hernandez around third to score and the Dodgers have a 3 to 2 lead. Lux did not wait around. He saw the first pitch and a

Ground ball to the right side right through the webbing. Oh my goodness. You talk about bad luck. Unbelievable an error on the play E three. But it’s really the, that you get the error. The Dodgers lead for the first time in the game two on and Mookie Betts 0 to 2 pitch

Groundball through the whole left side. A base hit out rounding third coming to the plate head first slide. He scores Mookie Betts with an RB I base hit and it’s 4 to 2 Dodgers. Well, they know full well the Achilles tendon really for the Dodgers had been trailing after

Eight innings the last two years. They’re eight and 90 when trailing after eight full innings of a regular season game. Here’s Otan with two on and one out. He likes the first pitch hits it in the left center field gap. That’s a base hit. Here’s what’s coming around there. He’ll score standing.

It is 5 to 2 as Shohei comes up with his first run batted in as a Dodger and what an inning for the Dodgers here in the eighth and the Dodger lineup just relentless top of the ninth inning. Hasan Kim. The leadoff has sends this one to right.

Should be an easy one and it is for Teoscar Hernandez pinch hitter left hander and Graham Pauley here is the 1 to 2 pitch on a strike three and the Padres down to their last out is the last hope he’s hit into a double play grounded into a force out

And flied to right and a little ground ball past them out. Here’s Lux one hand throws to first. He got him a 123 bottom of the ninth and the Dodgers win the first game of 2024. They are one and zero after this victory here tonight, they come

Up with win number one on the season.

  1. Unfortunate luck for the Padres. But when the offense is asleep and you make countless errors against a stacked lineup; you're asking for disappointment. Hope the Padres bats wake up tomorrow

  3. If there's one thing to take away from this series, it's that MLB needs Cheerleaders. Not the like the ones in the NFL or NBA. I'm talking like those people they had dancing on top of the Dugouts this game. We need that HYPE in the MLB!

  4. The Dodgers have basically banked on success this decade – the structured debt payoff will last 20 years in the 2030s and 40s so they are kicking the financial can down the road. Theyโ€™ve got to win World Series in the next 6-8 years after that austerity will hit them and the time is over and will probably have to play moneyball then. Itโ€™s a gamble Todd Boelhy is willing to make. His strategy at Chelsea has backfired so far.

  5. Fact is, these international season openers are a complete joke. Is it worth it playing in front of 15,000 fans? Both teams have now burned one of their typical home games–which means one less game for home town fans to watch. And what about the employees, vendors, and others who are counting on the added revenue these home games bring? Will MLB compensate them? No. Bad idea.

  6. I woke up at 2:55 am to see darvish pulled before 4 innings and a ball phase through the glove of Cronenworth. Tough.

There were a few missed third strike calls for the Padres pitchers, but I also remember Machado walked on a very obvious strike on 3-0 which was BS. At one point when Freeman was coming into 2nd on a potential GIDP, he didn't slide and HSK double pumped because he would have launched the ball into Freeman's teeth. HSK is a good guy.

  7. Itll be down to braves and dodgers this year, i dont know if houston can interrupt that. Well see. Braves tho have a squad too, but othani has made the dodgers a little more interesting.
Not sure if id get the strider braves pitchers jersey over othanis, im still on strider making history wagon
