I’ve seen numerous Japanese speakers online criticize Ippei for not accurately translating Shohei’s words. And that his translations often left out important context to make Shohei either seem indifferent or cagey. Even before this news I always held suspicions about Ippei but kept them to myself.
I’m looking at the date and thought maybe it was April 1st. The guy had easily one of the best jobs in the world. Now I’m seething realizing how he took advantage of one of nicest athletes in the planet.
The dude had his whole life setup and an incredible relationship with Ohtani and threw it all away for more money.
Mother fucker, I was hoping for a stress free, drama free early part of the year. I knew come June doomers would find a way in, but I thought, let’s just enjoy the first month or so…but noooooooo…
