Just had my brother snag me a $50 city connect jersey, odds that it’s a legit jersey?

A collectibles store in my hometown has been selling city connect jerseys for $50 since the end of last season, wondering if we really got a great steal here or if it might be a fake. To be honest, the quality of them is better than fanatics seems to be doing so I won’t mind if it’s not legit, just wanted to see what public consensus was.

  1. Probably a fake, but at the same time probably much better quality than this year‘s jerseys. I’m jealous!

  2. I think it’s fake. Bill from the Dream Shop told me that the CINCY on the front is silk screened for player jerseys. Mine is silk screened.

  3. You’re not at the Florence Mall by chance? That’s where I snagged my Votto City Connect for the same price a couple of months ago. All the tags looked legit, it was just on clearance. If it’s fake, they did a damn good job with it.

  4. It fell off a truck somewhere

You can buy these from China for about $25 each. They might run off the same lines doing the official ones or they might be the next factory over. Quality runs from identical to official to crap.

My guess is that the seller ordered a bunch from DHGate or similar and is marking them up for a decent profit.

  5. It looks like the knock-off one I have, which is fine because they’re of pretty good quality.

  6. It’s a fake. The striped sleeve cuffs are way too big. I don’t believe the red/white outline lines on the cincy/numbers should be embroidered, which is making them look too thick. Not the worst I’ve seen but it does look off.

  7. It looks legit but I’m curious to see the side patch. I have the same jersey and the side patch should be one piece vinyl type patch.

  8. Most the knock offs are “real”. They’re factory overruns and China doesn’t honor IP laws.

Dhgate all day baby. Even the fake fakes look better that fanatics and nike.
