Would be criminal not to scout the top 4 QBs in as much detail as possible.
I’d assume Penix and Nix will be in for top 30 visits too

I’m just conditioned to believe that any public-facing draft intel is subterfuge
No stone unturned. They are serious because of whats in the QB room now.

I really hope we don’t pull a Giants and reach on a dude who shouldn’t be drafted at 3…
There could be 6 or 7 Michigan guys taken in the first two rounds. Even if they don’t like McCarthy, it’s worth a visit.

Imo wilson corum sandristil and mccarthy are all likely to have good nfl careers, let alone the o lineman. Worth attending.
JJ McCarthy is probably the only Patriots type of QB here. Smart, tough, leader, clutch, wins. If we take QB in the first round, it’s JJ McCarthy. If we can get a haul from Minnesota and land him at 11, that would be a homerun.

If they do trade down, I’d be a little surprised if they didn’t try to trade back up to get McCarthy. Seems like they really do like him.
I dont want them to draft JJ, but I dont fault anyone doing due diligence. It’s a good sign and hopefully they are going to all of the pro days of their prospective draft picks. At least the first 3 rounds if schedules would allow
I love how all of us (myself included) jump in these threads and act like we know more about these players than professional NFL scouts.
I’m not going to pretend I know without a doubt that JJ will not be better than Maye or Daniels.
The idea of McCarthy is growing on me, I don’t think we’ll do it but there’s always a chance.
I mean…what else do they have to do that’s more important than scouting QBs?
