I actually believe this. I think Stidham gives this team a chance to be competitive in a majority of games next season. And we draft a developmental QB in the later rounds.
they better land some absolute studs if they punt on QB this year.
If the draft has taught me anything, it’s to not expect anything, and any analysis is useless.
I dunno why people keep thinking we need a QB. Stidham needs to continue his legacy.
I’d have to be high on something pretty potent, to be high on Stidham….
Dallas Turner or Brock Bowers if they are available at 12, strengthen at CB, WR, OL and DB in the later rounds.
Well some is high on something, but I don’t think it’s Stidham.
I’m fine with taking the best available this year and tanking for next year….. I wonder if there is a highly rated QB in next year’s draft, preferably with local ties?

Edit: Keeping Stidham and waiting for a QB in 2026 fits my narrative so I’ll choose to believe this
This could all be smoke obviously, but I do think there’s some potential truth to the idea that we’re not hitching this whole draft to QB. Unless the Patriots decide not to take a QB (which isn’t likely), even trading up to 4 would only get us the 4th QB available and that would carry a massive price to do.
Considering how many holes we have on this roster, I really don’t know if parting with more picks is a wise idea. I get the sense that if a guy Payton and staff are in love with isn’t there around our pick, we’re content going BPA most of this draft and maybe getting a developmental QB in the later rounds. No matter what, this upcoming season is gonna be ugly so building the roster up a bit first before taking a QB isn’t the worst idea, especially if we’re not totally sold on the guys who are available

Stidham isn’t the answer as a stop gap. I hope everyone is ready for a 5-13 season!
This is the right move. We put ourselves in this mess. Free agency and trading won’t get us out of it. Patience. And luck. Andrew Luck.

I think the Broncos should just hope Nix is available by #12 and if he is not then you move on.
Nix is not worthy of being traded up (and neither is McCarthy).
A trade back to like 20 in the first that nets us a 2nd would be my ideal scenario.
