A non baseball positive first- signed my paperwork today to work for the Guards this year!!! Got a Clase bobble head for free too!
Opening day Shane Bieber continues to show off how good our pitching factory is, going 6IP, 2H, 0R, 1BB, and 7K on 75 pitches. He opened the game with a beautiful pickoff at first base after a single, and just cruised the rest of the way.
STEVEN KWAN IS THE MAN! He leads the offensive effort with a grand salami, while 🆓 had a day after making the roster, going 2/2 with a double and a HBP. Laureano and Hedgey each had a double, Florial got a single, and Gimmy got a 2 RBI single. Overall, the offense gets 10 runs off of 7 hits, 7 walks, and stolen bases from Laureano and Gimmy.
Bullpen functioned like a normal bullpen today, thanks to Bieber and his 6 innings of work. Cade Smith, Davis Sharpe, Scott Barlow, and Anthony Banda combined for 3 innings and 0 runs, with Barlow striking out the side in his inning of work.
