To everyone upset about the compensation for Sneed, y’all should listen to the Schwartz brothers.

  1. I understand, but I’m still disappointed we weren’t able to get more for one of my favorite players on the team

  2. I hate the comp pick argument. We were not guaranteed a 3rd due to how the formula works like Geoff is saying, it would have been at the very end of round 3 if we got it (potentially 20+ spot difference), and it wouldn’t have been until 2026 if he played on the tag this year.

We didn’t just get a 3rd and 7th, we got 20 million in cap space which is pretty valuable with upcoming contracts for McDuffie, Creed, Bolton, etc.

  3. It’s disappointing that we didn’t get more, but in a world where Brian Burns – a franchise DE two years younger than Sneed, only yielded a 2024 2nd and a 2025 5th, it seems teams are valuing 2024 draft capital extremely highly. It’s hard to say we didn’t get market value for Sneed, a less valuable chip, under these circumstances.
