Lane has said he feels he’s got years left in the tank. Anyone we draft there will be moved to guard or sitting on the bench. Gotta attack the DB position. Especially guys who play the slot well.

This draft is loaded at a bunch of positions of need. The “1st rounder has to be a cb or I’ll kill myself” crowd needs to cool off a little. I would love cool aid at 22. But there is a real chance we can get a Lassiter or TJ Tampa in the second. We even have the ammunition to trade up for cool aid if he falls to the second round. There’s a world we come out of this draft with someone like mims or Latham in the first round, who have tackle to guard versatility, and Tj Tampa and trotter/cooper in the second round, and that feels like best case scenario to me. Would also love a trade up for quinyon Mitchell though
The only offensive linemen that should even be considered at pick 22 should be Jacksons Powers Johnson. Not only because we have an Immediate need at RG for a long term Starter but he also serves as yet another backup plan for Cam Jurgens if he gets seriously injured or doesnt work out at Center as Intended. Taking the 4th 5th or maybe even 6th best Right Tackle to play OUT of position for 2-3 years is a waste of a first round pick AND I DONT GIVE A FUCK. JPJ is going to be a multi year Probowler just like Kelce.
IF they take a Olinemen in the first round it should be JPJ.
HOWEVER i would prefer moving up and grabbing 1 of 3 Corners in the First round (Arnold, Mitchell, or DeJean) and take Cooper Bebee or Zach Zinter in the 4th or 5th round.
If they take Jackson Powers Johnson i wont complain cus he will be a stud and our Oline will not miss a step this year, allowing Jalen to stay protected and Saquon to get all the help he can get
Lock up RG Center LG and LT for the next 5-10 years and worry about RT next year, maybe draft some more depth in the 4th or 5th round to backup Lane and Steen
Also we would have the added bonus of having 2 JOHNSONS and a DICKerson in the trenches for all my fellow 30+ year old teenagers at heart.
Cant ever complain about drafting defensive or offensive lines in the first.. my opinion anyways

JC Latham has bust/under performer written all over him. Terrible feet and doesn’t show much power for his size
It’s wild that one of the best 6 tackles could make it to us at 22. Prospects like them barely ever make it out of the top-10. We can’t turn that opportunity down.
We absolutely do not need to draft o line lol. The whole having a player redshirt a year is useless when you’re a win now team and need cost controlled talent at multiple key positions on defense
I don’t understand drafting a lineman that high when we need corner and linebacker help, we know stoutland can train a guy up we can afford to wait til the 2nd or 3rd to draft a lineman
