  1. Love the employee clutching 20 lbs of unfresh raw seafood gliding down the ice with a smile. Give that woman a raise!

  2. How does one conceal that going through security ? Just sticking raw fish in your underwear? Like just the fact that somebody went to the grocery store, paid for this and brought it to the arena – like just to pull off a rib that ends up as a meme, hard to process that level of lacking in self awareness but what I can only assume is an adult.

  3. Uh oh here come the defenders of Octopussi. They are intelligent btw lmao

  4. Thank god now the AI models will have some source material for the “young female on ice skates carrying live seafood” prompts.

  5. What was this thrown for? Thought octopus was for hat tricks, and Nashville bit Detroit’s style with the catfish throws. What happened to get the sea food buffet toss

  6. So personally I like the tradition of throwing octopi or catfish on the ice but I do agree with the NHL about limiting when u can do it. The reason being cleanup. It takes time to clear the ice of the seafood and then depending on how slimy the seafood is (I think it depends on if it’s dried out or not. I don’t eat seafood so correct me if I’m wrong) wouldn’t u have to clean the ice with the Zamboni? Or at the least the shovel team that comes on the ice during commercials (didn’t learn that till HS attending my only Leafs game). So I understand why they don’t let the fans throw it for EVERY goal (9-2 Nashville over Toronto anyone?) but for me it’s a buzzer beater (5 secs or less) or a game winner I do think they should let the fans throw the octopi or catfish. Pt if it’s say a players first Goal or a significant milestone then sure. But I do think the NHL does it right by if Nashville or Detroit wins they throw the seafood.
