Honestly, at this point, this is fine. See what you got in the guy, let him get some NHL experience without pressure
The only good thing about being out of the playoffs (and even though it’s not official, we do know it kinda is), is it gives time to showcase and develop prospects at higher levels. Even if he doesn’t play, it’ll help to be around a professional environment
