  1. It’s a pretty dumb question. Your goalie said he wasn’t happy with his own performance, are you?

What the fuck do you think?

  2. As a fellow goalie… This is the perfect response to such a stupid question.

  3. It should be the unemployment line. Not sure how he keeps getting away with this shit with the media. If a player did this, they would be fined.

  4. Torts has been around the league for decades. He’s been in Philly for 2 years now.

How have these guys not figured out to not ask him questions like this?

  5. Watching hockey post gamers is cringe. Dumb questions, same answers all the time. Honestly, hockey playerscoaches may be the most predictable in all sports. Torts keeps it fun imo.

  6. These guys get paid to ask idiotic questions like this and Torts is just fed up with it. I don’t blame the guy one bit either

  7. I gave up on coach/player interviews about 15 years ago. Couldn’t care less and haven’t for a long time. I finally realized it’s literally the same pre-rehearsed/pre-scripted questions, and literally the same pre-rehearsed/pre-scripted responses from a PR team. While there are times you occasionally get the genuine response, it’s exceedingly rare. Need to play our game, need to play the full 60 minutes, need to keep it simple, etc. from players, and coaches have their own response gymnastics.

  8. Love Torts no BS policy with dumb questions. Flyers got shafted by a crappy scandal situation and no good backup. Briere really should have gotten one or two NJ style at the deadline bc them even getting to second round or beyond would help all the young guys develop

  9. This is how everyone should answer stupid questions. Reporters are total shit these days.

  10. the way he slaps the podium with that busted hand kinda makes me nervous lol

  11. Clearly he wasn’t needed since he wasn’t being asked a question, so he decided to go elsewhere.

  12. Torts just displaying the old adage, if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all.

  13. It’s no longer responsible journalism, it’s click bait, confrontational, aggressive, questioning with the hopes of getting on ESPN highlights. Nothing more, nothing less. Amateur hour for the new breed of beat reporters.

  14. I wish our coach was as invested, committed and passionate as Torts is in his team.
