  1. Sounds tempting but not sure we get an elite player at 11. If we are going all in, it’s better to take the elite talent than to get prospects that fill holes but will take time to develop.

  2. I just don’t see how the Vikings can gamble and wait that long to trade up. They have already had some preliminary discussions and are looking to trade up higher that 8. And I think KOC and JJ are an awesome fit.

  3. Depends on how things fall. If the first round falls like this, I could see it happening.

    1. Caleb Williams
    2. Drake Maye
    3. Jayden Daniels
    4. Marvin Harrison Jr.
    5. Malik Nabers
    6. Rome Odunze
    7. Joe Alt

If that happens, and Turner, Verse, and Latu are all still on the board, I could see us trading back with Minnesota so they can take McCarthy and we’d still get an edge.

  4. If Verse and Turner are still there, I’d absolutely do that. Vikings likely wouldn’t

  5. Idk why Minnesota would trade for another first to just move up 3 spots. That seems like an awful trade for them.

  6. They can get fucked wanting that 3rd. You need to come up. We don’t need to come down. Give us 11 and 23 to move down. We keeping the 3rd.

  7. We’re still gonna trade up and grab a rookie QB to sit under / be a back up plan for cousins .  No way we are trading down

  8. I am betting they are trading up to 4. That’s where the bidding war between them, Denver, and Vegas happens.

  9. I see the Vikings trying to make a huge move and trade up to #2 to take Drake Maye way before they move up to 8. They have the capital to make a massive swing at #2, I mean two 1st this year plus another next year plus a 2nd and maybe a few other late round pick(s) or swaps would be extremely hard to pass up for a team like the Commanders who need more than just a QB. Hell I’d see the Vikings trading up to 9 with the Bears before they go up to 8. If they don’t go top 3 then most likely Caleb, Maye and Daniels are gone. So why spend the extra capital to move up 1 extra spot to 8 when you know McCarthey isn’t going 8 or 9 but might go 10/11/12?

  10. * If McCarthy is there yes we trade And we trade out whoever gives us the best deal and we DO NOT GIVE UP the 3rd NO WAY 3 maybe a 5 Teams higher than 8 who might want to trade will ask for more then we would
    * @ 8 Vikes take QB
    * @ 9 will Chicago take another edge after siging Sweat
    * @ 10 Jets will not take Edge they will take next best OT one of Verse Dallas Latu
    * so @ 11 you likely still have your pick of Dallas Latu and Verse
    * then @ 23 there will be a quality WR / CB even S available
    * 1st rounders are the best place to find starters in drafts they bust the least by a wide margin (other than QBs)
    * **Of course we could also trade our 8 and 11 for Justin Jefferson then maybe do add in the 3rd lol**

  11. If MIN is dumb enough to trade 11 and 23 for 8 then you gotta take that… although I agree that it’s much more likely they’re big game hunting and going for 2 (to get Maye) or 5/6 (to get McCarthy). Out of the current draft order, they’d only have to leapfrog NYG to ensure they get JJ.

And honestly, you hope one of LV/DEN/MIN wants to trade up that high, because 4 QBs taken in the top 6 guarantees you one of Nabers/Odunze/Alt, who are generational prospects that are better than the edges are this year

  12. I saw another article that had this scenario:

Vikings trade picks 11 and 23 to the Cardinals for pick 4, which they use on McCarthy. Cards then trade back up from 11 to 8, giving us an extra 3rd round pick. Cards take Odunze, we take Verse, and go into the 3rd round with 3 picks.
