  1. Stephon Castle is a 6’6″, 215lb combo guard, currently playing on 1st seed UConn in March Madness.

Castle is a 2 way guard that uses his strength and length to get to his spots on offense, and fight over screens and stay in front of his man on defense.

Currently he is averaging 11/4/3 on 47/28/76 shooting splits. Is 3PT% doesn’t look good, but his FT shooting and touch around the rim may indicate that he can improve upon his poor shooting performance this year.

Despite shooting the ball poorly from 3, he has embraced a very different role on this UConn team than he had in high school. Playing as his Highschools PG, and transitioning to a more off ball role as a combo guard. He’s adapted well and has helped UConn throughout the season and into the 3rd round of March Madness.

I think at this moment he could still play as a PG in the NBA if given the reps. At the least he is a two way combo guard that can use his strength and length to guard 1-3 and can be a secondary playmaker.

  2. At this point should only be considered if he fell to the second first round pick from the Clippers.

  3. As a UConn fan I would love to see him fall to the 2nd pick in the 1st. Has an opportunity to put himself in the top 15 conversation depending on how the tourney goes.
