It's Florio so take it with a grain of salt, but it also would not surprise me at all if Woody is declining offers for a 7th or 6th thinking they could get something better. Hard to imagine JD wouldn't be happy getting literally ANY pick in return

  4. Take what you can get and move on. If you can get off of his cap hit there’s no reason not to. Maybe he can do better somewhere else, I feel pretty confident saying he won’t develop into anything as a Jet

  7. Yeah I don’t buy it honestly. There’s a 0% chance the team keeps him. And it’s not like there is going to be lots of competition in FA for an unreliable backup QB.

  12. One thing to keep in mind is that the “trade offers” could be teams saying they’ll take Wilson off our hands if we throw in a 6th or 7th, which if true we would rightly reject. This could also be leaked by other teams to put pressure on the jets to accept a bad deal instead of cutting him. Not saying this is the case, just a possibility.

  16. Justin Fields set the market here, Zach Wilson isn’t worth more than Justin Fields so it’ll be hard to get anything other than a 6th or 7th for him.

  28. I mean I was surprised a few days ago when that article said nobody was interested. I found that hard to believe considering despite all of ZW issues he still has insane athletic ability and I’m sure some teams look at him and say “The jets failed him we can fix him”
    However, I think this article is also ehhh as well. How much trade value do they think he has? Realistically I think the truth is somewhere in the middle, teams have voiced interest (some teams not a lot) but have also voiced concerns about the $$$ and the Jets are probably trying to get too much for him. That makes the most sense to me

  33. Beggars can’t be choosers. He should take a 6th or 7th. It’s better than just cutting him and possibly not getting in return.

  34. We might have gotten offers to trade Zach and a 2nd for a 7th.

    Basically we might have to add pieces to get someone to take him.

    I’m sure a bunch of teams with cap space would offer this trade up.

  35. I feel like we would take a 7th for him. So how bad could these offers be? Unless they were offering practice team players or something like that
