  1. You have to have expected it this way. There was no feasible way why his lawyers would let him answer any questions and get used against him in any investigations ongoing.

Making some statement is better than nothing.

Yet people on social media will still bend over backward to still call him guilty.

  2. He is not going to get suspended nor fined. He is gonna be playing all year, as a Dodger. This dude is gonna rake, alongside Mook and Fred and we will finally see him in the playoffs for the first time as a Dodger. And there is nothing r/baseball can do about it except cry and seeth in hate.

  3. Not like he’d be responding anyway, his legal team would just give him a canned “no comment” and “can’t comment on an open investigation” etc.

  4. Holy fuck, r/baseball actually has brain rot over this. Obviously he can’t just take questions and freely discuss an active fucking investigation lmao

  5. Honestly, he shouldn’t be making any statements. Even if he’s 100% innocent, anything he says could LITERALLY get lost in translation.

  6. Shohei gonna hop on the mic and be like, ” First off, fuck yo bitch and the clique you clame. Westside when we ride, come equipped with game”

  7. It’s not like people who chose to not believe him, will suddenly change their narrative after him saying anything, so it really doesn’t matter if he took questions or not. The result of investigation from authorities like IRS will be the best answer to this mess.

  8. The thing is, this distraction is taking away from what could be another epic year from Mookie. Probably the best player in the majors not named Ohtani.

  9. – Shohei doesn’t speak on it, people cry
    – Shohei speaks, people cry because he doesn’t answer silly questions

Meanwhile, he hasn’t been accused of any wrong doing and he’s the VICTIM of theft AGAINST him by a man that has been by his side for YEARS.

  10. It’s still crazy to me how so much people genuinely believe that shohei was not only betting on sports but betting on baseball and games where he was involved in and some genuinely believe he purposely did bad to win his bets
