His numbers (ignoring this stat) are very similar to JT Millers when he was Hoglander’s age. In and out of the AHL and then being around 0.5 ppg in first full season back into the NHL

Hoglander has elite skill, he’s fast with excellent skating balance. Great young player. 22 goals averaging only 11:44 in ice time and all at even strength, 0 from the PP. Just 23 years old. Canucks should lock him up long term this offseason, he’s likely going to have a monster year next season. Poised to become a consistent 40 goal scorer.
That kid Crosby needs to learn a thing or two from Nils.
hes just figuring it out too, in a few seasons hes going to have his game down pat at the NHL level, thank god management didnt entertain trading him in any TD package this season
I was a big fan of Hoglander since the draft, but he’s already started to surpass my expectations.
I felt like he would probably didn’t have the high end skill to be a bonafide top-6 guy, but felt like his pace & work rate would make him a very effective bottom to middle-6 forward.
Now, we’ve got to be mindful of him shooting 20%+… but he’s starting to show he can compliment skilled players in the top-6.
