Am I the only one who hopes Dameon Pierce can get his groove going again ?


At one point his rookie year he was the only bright spot of the team . Im not sure if it’s a sophomore slump but listening to Landry Locker everyday constantly say we need another rb behind mixon and dismissing piece just kind of irritates me . Seems like a lot of folks are just forgetting about how good he did when we had mills as Qb . Even pierce his self says he needs more time to get it and I believe Caserio and Demeco believe in him which is why he’s still here . I can see him and mixon being an elite 1-2 punch Set of RBs .

  4. Fr, everyone on this sub has seemed to just give up on him after one bad season. I wouldn’t even have minded if he was starting going into the season with his upside

  5. Not at all. He’s such a special player and team mate. I hate to reference the cowgirls but I’m hoping Pierce and Mixon can have the Zeke and Pollard kind of dynamic.

  6. But also remember his cap hit is so minimal, keeping him is dirt cheap and is already familiar with the offense – easier and cheaper to keep him than sign a 3rd back off the street.

    Besides that, I’m hoping he’s productive this year. Solves a lot of problems for us.

  7. Anyone who doesn’t want Pierce to succeed is a pos. Dude was one of the very few bright spots in an absolute dump of a season. I really do hope he tears it up.

  8. I like the way he pairs with Mixon and the only way I see a rookie taking his spot behind Mixon is if they start blowing doors down at training camp.

    Even though Pierces season was abysmal(not just bad ) they’re still gonna roll with him as the #2 back over whatever rookies they draft most likely.
