This is a clear change of tone from Hakstol and I’d be shocked if he and Francis were not aligned fully here. These comments + the callups show the FO and coaches aren’t messing around. Player jobs are on the line here and the organization is going to figure out who is willing to show they want to be here next season and those who do not.
definite change of tone but not sure i agree it means Hak and Ron are aligned. Hak had success at Jr level because players are more apt to take his word as gospel. pro players with experience need a system that suits the roster. watching the past 3 years not sure Hak has provided that. seem most of their success comes when they are “creating” off a strong forecheck. i think Hak can sense he is losing the room. IMHO Ron is gonna have conversations with the seasoned players for input (prediction – Ebs will be offered a job with the organization if he opts to retire after his extension)
