A quick shoutout to these two!

I’ve seen some love on this page for these two, but it’s been awhile, so I’ll share my thankfulness.

I live in Hawaii, and when I stream a Rockets away game, I don’t always get to tune into Space City Network, which sucks because Craig and Ryan are commenting gems. I have seen such piss-poor commentary this year (GSW, Atlanta, Celtics, etc.), so watching Craig commentating games like it’s a UFC match and Ryan getting hyped for every Rockets bucket is something I look forward to.

All hail…Craig “Free-Throw Defense” Ackerman and Ryan “Margarita Monday” Hollins

  1. I didn’t think I’d like Hollins to replace Worrell and Bullard. But these two are a pretty good team and Hollins has become a homer. Love the free throw defense! They dish and they take and it’s fun. I do find it funny that Hollins seems to have played with every nba player.

  2. I love them both.

Best line from craig was at the nets game when the cam cut to the dude with the basketball helmet

    “I need a… a… basketball. helmet..”

  3. Love them together. And I giggle helplessly at Ryan’s Margarita Mondays promos. He’s just so gleeful about it!

  4. I’ve always been sad that I don’t live in America so I’ve never had the chance to see an NBA game, but being international with League Pass does come with one massive plus.

I get to hear Craig and Ryan literally every single game. I never have to listen to a different broadcast if I don’t want to. Listening to GSW, Philly, and Boston in particular make my ears bleed. They’re GOATs, especially Craig.

  5. Worrell and Clyde used to put me to sleep since I was kid. Rockets commentary has been sorely lacking of any energy since Calvin Murphy was forced out.

Hollins and Craig have been absolutely fantastic; they really capture my emotions as I watch. They keep it genuine without going overboard (probably in a minority but I don’t like the Hornets guy). It feels organic and unforced to me, and they occasionally get cheeky.

  6. I’ll be honest I really didn’t like them at first but they’ve both grown a ton on me.

The homerism at the beginning was way too much and still is a little much lol but good vibes all around.
