[Mary Kay Cabot on X] #Browns GM Andrew Berry says he expects Nick Chubb to start doing some load running this month as opposed to conditioning work. It’s a great next step. Next 3 months will determine his availability for the start of the season.

  1. Can’t wait to see this man suit up again. Just doesn’t feel the same without him out there

  2. Is load running when you are in a harness on a treadmill to avoid putting your full weight on your legs?

  3. This is right on track for his rehabilitation really. Around the 4month mark he should be picking up the running and strength training. He should be cleared by the 6 month mark. Hopefully around then he could just start doing field work, non contact stuff. Just curious of when they will allow contact. The biggest hurdle will be the mental aspect. He will know his knee is medically clear and it’s strong enough but will he mentally trust it? The mental aspect could take up to a year or longer. He might play next year but we might not see the real chubb until ’26 when he has full confidence in the knee again. Thats why some guys never return to form after a major knee injury because they no longer play the way they did before because they mentally compensate for the knee and try to “protect it”. I know when I had my knee done, I was cleared after 6 months and literally started my HS 2-a-days the day after being cleared but really it took me like 18 months to get back mentally to wear you trust it and not think about it. Hopefully it’s quicker for chubb because he has been through it once already but who knows. Just hoping we get him back to at least 85% of his former self
