[Meirov] Three teams voted against the new kickoff proposal: Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers. The new approved proposal is for one year only. They’ll revisit everything next year to see the results.

  1. On one side, I have no issue putting Deebo back there and he is a huge plus for us.

On the otherside our KOR coverage gave me anxiety last year.

  2. It is better than watching the ball fly through the end zone after every score. I’m hoping we get a better special teams coach. We’ve lost too many games because of special teams including the super bowl.

  3. We can’t even just say fuck it and kick outta the evdzone because Moody couldn’t even do that.

  4. This rule is fucking stupid. It’s going to flip several games that one team shouldn’t have won. It rewards explosive fluke plays over actual talent, strategy, tough defense, and skilled offense.

  5. I’ve been watching the NFL for 40+ years, I’m just glad they’re trying something instead of just scrapping all kick offs. Our team will just have to get better at coverage.

  6. As somebody who played on KOR team at the lower levels and had to block, FUCK KOR. If it lowers the need to have dudes stand there and get blasted I’m in

  7. This may open up some new strategy. Now that a lot of the injury risk is taken out of the kickoff, maybe we can start using more starting offense and defense players for special teams. Teams wouldnt need to keep special teams only players and this could help add a lot of depth to teams on both the offense and defensive sides of the ball.
