This is huge news for Devito. Giants will be able to have Drew Lock, their rookie, and Devito all ready to go without devoting a special roster slot to their fourth QB.
This also allows Giants to stash Daniel Jones on the roster without giving up their ability to dress a 3rd QB.
This is long overdue. Thank goodness.
I thought the Tommy Devito rule was “don’t put too many onions in the sauce”
Member when we got rid of the emergency 3rd QB for an extra roster spot? Just let each team dress whoever they want with no positional restrictions…. this is stupid.

Think this is more the CMC rule. Could be the Saquon Barkley rule too but I think the 49ers NFCCG is what really put this into motion.
