Not surprised. Arte is too cheap to get either him or Snell.
Arte doesn’t believe in paying for pitching. Never has. Our last two “biggest” contracts for SPs are anderson’s and then.. blanton’s contract.
I have a theory that one major reason we haven’t spent more is because of Soto’s pending free agency- because if there has ever been a player Arte would overspend for- it’s Juan Soto.
